Gilmartin's was an established family catering & hygiene supplies business based in Kiltimagh, County Mayo, which offered products and services to hotels, bars and restaurants across Mayo, Sligo, Roscommon and nationwide.
The initial brief to Zetagram* by the client was to evolve the established logo used on vans and stationery into a new professional looking logo corporate identity.
Using the original concept of a lowercase letter 'G' combined with icons representing different types of products, Zetagram developed an evolved motif design style while still retaining the core colour scheme palette for continuity. The logotype itself was a balance of carefully selected display fonts with classic sans-serif typography.
The new logo design style was first applied to the monolith signage solution located at the new warehouse premises in Kiltimagh. The sign was produced using both inkjet vinyl and 3D raised letters to maximise the visual impact.
Part-wrap vehicle graphics designs were created by Zetagram to establish a powerful fleet style for the main delivery vans and the smaller commercial car conversions used by the sales reps. The designs were highly visible on the road and presented product information and contact details to encourage enquiries.
To extend the corporate identity and promote the business, Zetagram also designed catalogue covers, press advertising, pitch-side sponsorship signage, exhibition stand designs for trade events, point of sale (POS) and directional roadside signage.
The main building signage design evolved over a number of years, and was designed in conjunction with alternative painting colour schemes for the building to present a cost-effective and professional face of the business.
For an online presence, Zetagram designed, built and populated an extensive product catalogue and brochure website, based on an open-source XHTML content management system custom adapted for this application. The site included product content supplied by the client, with location photography and brochure copy (text) written by Zetagram.
