Gulf Oil was a major global oil company with it's Ireland franchise offices based in Collooney, County Sligo, which provided oil products and independent service station franchises nationwide.
Junction Deli was a development fork to create a brand for a new cafe deli outlet located at the Gulf Oil service station based in Collooney, County Sligo.
The initial brief to Zetagram* by the client was to create an independent brand for a café/deli to work in conjunction with the HotRod's fast food area of the service station development at Collooney, County Sligo.
Using the name 'Junction Deli' developed by the client, Zetagram's approach was to take a simple, literal approach to the café brand by illustrating it with a knife and fork to communicate it had seated dining instead of just being a take-away counter.
The style of the brand was designed to be authentic and relatable to the target audience by using natural colours, hand-written script fonts and a chalkboard graphic style.
When applied to signage and the counter, a woodgrain and chalkboard effect was used where possible to appear traditional and authentic but with a clean and modern execution. This approach was also designed to be economical to produce and cost-effective to update as required.
The brand was further developed and applied to staff uniform clothing, interior and exterior signage, food packaging designs, menus and advertising offer posters.
